Post-snow and wrapping up school for xmas !

I'm glad I took some photographs of the snow here for I did it just in time because in the space of a few days our hometown has gone from one being snow-laden to entirely bereft of snow !
The weather has been really fickle the last couple of days ! In one day even in one hour we experience blizzards, rain, sleet, wind, sunshine, cloud blue sky ! Extraordinary !
This week and next week I'm having my students make books of the worksheets we've done with them since the 1st September. It's a nice way to crown their work with me over the last four months and it marks their progress and they look really pleased with themselves walking out of the classrrom with their English book tucked under their arm and its seeing this expression of contentment on their faces that makes the whole job of teaching so worthwhile.
I also have them count the stamps of acheivement on their worksheets and the one with the most wins the mystery prize which is a 5000 won (2pounds) gift voucher they can use to buy books or stationery or a CD or go to the cinema. For the runners up I give them a sweet and everybody's happy ! It's a nice feeling to be ending the semester on such a good note !
